DRY HIRE RULES
These rules apply to all dry hire equipment supplied to you by Mad Cow Entertainment ATF Olman Family Trust (ABN 61 278 306 935) (we, us or our). Dry Hire means the hire of equipment where we deliver and set up the equipment at your nominated location but do not provide staff to operate the equipment during the hire period. You, as the hirer, are solely responsible for supervising the equipment and all participants from the time our setup is complete until we return to pack down.
These rules form part of, and are subject to, your Equipment Hire Agreement with us. In the event of any inconsistency between these rules and the Hire Agreement, the Hire Agreement prevails.
By accepting delivery of the equipment, you agree to comply with these rules and are responsible for ensuring all participants and guests do the same.
Before allowing any participant to use the equipment, you must ensure that each participant (or where a participant is a minor, their parent or legal guardian) has acknowledged the risks associated with the equipment and agreed to comply with all safety and operating instructions.
SETUP AND PACK-DOWN
All equipment is to be set up and packed down by Mad Cow Entertainment staff only. You must not attempt to move, dismantle, re-anchor or re-inflate the equipment yourself. If you have concern about the setup, contact us immediately using the details below.
SUPERVISION
You are responsible for supervising all participants using the equipment at all times. This means:
at least one responsible adult must be actively watching the equipment whenever it is in use. Supervision means giving your full attention to participants and not being distracted by phones, conversations, or other activities;
where multiple participants are using the equipment simultaneously, additional adult supervisors are required to ensure all participants can be properly monitored at all times;
the supervising adult/adults must be positioned so they have a clear, unobstructed view of all participants using the equipment at all times;
the supervising adult must be capable of intervening immediately if a participant behaves unsafely or if conditions change;
children must not be left unsupervised on or near the equipment at any time; and
if you are unable to maintain adequate supervision at any time, you must stop use of the equipment immediately until supervision is restored.
CAPACITY AND AGE/WEIGHT LIMITS
Maximum capacity and any age or weight restrictions are displayed on the equipment or communicated to you through our safety instructions. These limits must be observed at all times. Do not allow more participants on the equipment than the stated capacity.
PROHIBITED CONDUCT
The following conduct is strictly prohibited:
Shoes, jewellery, sharp objects or hard objects on or near inflatables
Food, drink, gum, or face paint on the equipment
Rough play, wrestling, pushing or climbing on the outside of the equipment
Use of the equipment by anyone who is intoxicated
Tampering with, modifying or damaging any part of the equipment, including the blower, anchors or ground grabbers
Allowing any third party to conduct repairs or maintenance on the equipment.
Moving the equipment from the delivery location or using it at any other location or for any event other than what the equipment was hired for.
GROUND ANCHORS
Our equipment uses a ground anchoring system (ground grabbers). You must not remove or interfere with the ground grabbers under any circumstances. If an anchor appears loose or dislodged stop using the equipment and notify us immediately.
WEATHER
If weather conditions deteriorate, including strong wind, rain, thunder, or lightning, you must stop using the equipment immediately and contact us. You must follow our directions as to whether use of the equipment can continue.
END OF USE/OVERNIGHT HIRE
When you have finished using the equipment for the day you must:
ensure all participants have vacated the equipment before deflating it;
turn off the blower to deflate the equipment and turn off the power supply;
do not remove, adjust or interfere with the ground anchoring system;
ensure the equipment is kept clear of any objects or obstructions that could damage it; and
do not attempt to reinflate or reinstall the equipment. Where you have multi-day use of the equipment, we will return to re-inspect and reinflate the equipment before use resumes.
PERMITS AND APPROVAL
Where the delivery location is not your own premises, you are responsible for obtaining any necessary permits, approvals or consents required for the hire at that location prior to the hire date. If we are unable to proceed with the hire due to your failure to obtain any required permit, approval or consent, the full hire fees will remain due and payable.
DAMAGE AND MISUSE
You are responsible for any damage to the equipment caused by misuse, failure to follow these rules, or failure to supervise participants. The cost of any repairs or replacement required as a result of improper or negligent use will be a debt due and immediately payable to us. You must contact us immediately if there is any damage to, or defect in, the equipment, or if the equipment is lost, stolen or vandalised.
